STILLWATER – Oklahoma State starting center Parsa Fallah left with four seconds left in the 91-84 overtime win over West Virginia on Tuesday after going down with what appeared to be a serious left knee injury.

On an inbounds play with less than 10 seconds left in overtime, Vyctorius Miller hit Fallah with the pass, who was all alone for an emphatic breakaway dunk. He landed full weight on his left knee, which immediately buckled, sending him to the floor in clear pain where he was quickly surrounded by the medical staff and head coach Steve Lutz.

Following the game, Lutz did not have an update on the injury but said Fallah’s knee would be evaluated to see the extent of the injury. It was learned on Wednesday that it was a torn ACL in the left knee.

After the game Lutz, his staff and the players bypassed the locker room and went to the training room to be with Fallah. The training room is where Lutz addressed the team with his postgame message. It was after that when Fallsh informed the staff and athletic Media Relations that he wanted to talk on the postgame show on the Cowboy Radio Network and also go down the hall to address the media.

After being taken off the court in a wheelchair, Fallah joined the postgame press conference and gave an emotional message to the fanbase. He got choked up a few times and had to compose himself.

“First of all, I’m really, really grateful for this year that I had here,” Fallah said. “Oklahoma State was the best year I had in my college career and the fans, I just hope they know how much I really care about them and it was a great experience. So, I wanted to say thank you to every one of y’all. Also, I wanted to talk about coach [Steve] Lutz here. This man, I believe he’s one of the best coaches in the country; I’ve never seen a man work as hard as him. I think this is your guy and he will take you guys far. I really mean every word I’m saying, he changed my life and I’m really grateful for him. He made me a better man, a better person and a better player.

“I would just say thank you God, thank you Jesus Christ, good or bad, I always try to be grateful and appreciate God for what he gave me.”

Fallah goes up for a lay up in the first half vs. West Virginia. He finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds.

Fallah is clearly one of the players that has the highest care factor for this team and program this season, and it has shown from the beginning of the year.

Pokes Report will have an update on Fallah’s knee injury, and the Pokes are back in action this coming Saturday on the road at Cincinnati.
