Per Recruits: Cowboys Could Name Defensive Coordinator Sunday (Jan. 23)

STILLWATER – According to a pair of prospects that attended the Oklahoma State Junior Day recruiting event on Saturday they were told to pay attention because Oklahoma State could be announcing a new defensive coordinator on Sunday, Jan. 23, a matter of hours, less than 24, since those recruits were on campus. No name was mentioned, but in the last 48 hours former Auburn defensive coordinator and Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason has become even more prominent than early in the week.

that's a real stretch... maybe not by today's lack of standards...

maybe it should say... a reporter blurted an opinion on twitter that, or something like that

CC, the original report was made on Twitter. Thats the platform that is used for news these days. Instead of just writing a full article, they will release the info then write more on it later.

I think everyone at pokes report shows great journalistic standards. You guys are knocking it out of the park! Lots of great content and great work. Robert doing the whole ok state 4 part story is extensive and very well done.

Yeah, going forward, many/most breaking news stories will be delivered via social media. It's quicker and no editors involved.

I thought "reporting" had to do with verification of information (the old 2 sources standard).... that's what I'm talking about when I use the term "reporting" and "reporter".

otherwise it's simply rumor mongering, trying to be the first with the info, regardless of it's accuracy.

It may turn out to be true, but twitter is NOT A NEWS SOURCE....

and "I'm reporting, that it was reported" is not news either.

Way to make something from nothing. Feldman simply reported Mason is a strong candidate for the job. Pokes reported shared that with us. No one has verified or claimed to know 100 percent. Feels like you are trying to trash these dudes for simply reporting what is out there. Making us aware. Not throwing out wild lies or reporting false information.

Na I'm in this one. Reporting- give a spoken or written account of something that one has observed, heard, done, or investigated. Pokes report observed Feldmans tweet like we all did and then they reported it. Seems pretty honest and straight forward to a simple guy like me anyway

Never seen so many people who have such little support or respect for a service spend so much time on it lol dudes provide this content and you got guys just shredding em. If you don't think things are credible or it's not sufficient enough for you in quality or honesty then go on with it. I have supported Robert and his endeavors since likely before you were born. Remember when we use to subscribe to the ole newspaper type publication from Robert called the Go Pokes Report? I loved getting that in the mail...

I do not have any problems with this site nor with it's contributors, I am the top "star" poster, and was once asked to be a moderator, which I declined because I have so many haters that troll me, like you, that I did not want to detract from this site.

I do not do any of what you claim, I simply ask questions of the contributors, or make humorous statements when I see something that strikes me as funny.

you simply just keep coming on here and attacking me personally.
