Oklahoma State Baseball’s Riggio Tabbed Freshman All-American
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Roc Riggio has been named to the 2022 D1Baseball.com Freshman All-America First Team.
A second baseman from Simi Valley, Calif., Riggio started 53 games in his first season with the Cowboys and hit .295 with 11 home runs and 47 RBIs. He also tallied 14 doubles and posted a .519 slugging percentage.
At the NCAA Stillwater Regional, Riggio led OSU with a .556 batting average and recorded four homers, five doubles and 17 RBIs to help the Cowboys reach the tourney final.
Riggio recorded 13 multi-hit and nine multi-RBI games in 2022, and he ended the season on a nine-game hitting streak.
This marks the second Freshman All-America honor for Riggio as he was also named a second-team performer by Perfect Game/Rawlings.
