OSU Baseball’s Watts-Brown Collects Big 12, National Honors
IRVING, Texas – For the second time this season, Oklahoma State's Juaron Watts-Brown is the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week, claiming honors for his performance against Texas in week seven.
After helping OSU to a series win over the 15th-ranked Longhorns with a dominant performance to win the second game of the series, Watts-Brown was also named the Perfect Game/Rawlings Pitcher of the Week as the nation's top college baseball hurler and was tabbed as one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week.
The sophomore right-hander worked a season-high eight innings against the then-league leading Longhorns and racked up 12 strikeouts, one shy of his season high, while allowing just one run on three hits.
