Riggio was named the Big 12 Player of the Week, while Schubart collected Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors after the duo helped lead the Cowboys to a 3-1 week that included a series sweep of East Tennessee State. Schubart was also named one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week.

OSU's top hitter on the week, Riggio was 8-for-15 (.533) and smashed four home runs while collecting 10 RBIs. He hit safely in all four games to extend his hitting streak to six games.

The Cowboy second baseman led the team with 10 runs, and he also drew four walks and was hit by a pitch for a .650 on-base percentage.

In a midweek contest at No. 24 Oral Roberts, Riggio went 4-for-5 with two homers and tied season highs with five RBIs and 10 total bases.

Riggio followed that by going 4-for-10 at the plate to help the Cowboys to a series sweep of ETSU. He smacked homers in the series opener and finale to bring his team-leading total to 16, which ranks second in the Big 12.

Schubart had a strong week at the plate capped by a record-setting performance in the series finale against ETSU. The freshman hit .400 with three home runs and 11 RBIs, and he also drew three walks and scored six runs.

The Cowboy left fielder was OSU's leading hitter in a series sweep of ETSU as he went 6-for-12 at the plate and hit safely in all three games.

Schubart ended the weekend with a remarkable performance in the finale as he went 3-for-3 with three home runs, two of those grand slams, and 10 RBIs to go along with a pair of walks.

That performance saw him reach several record marks, including:

Tying the OSU record for homers in a game. It marked the 18th time in program history the feat has been achieved, and he is the 14th different Cowboy to hit the mark.

Tying the OSU record for RBIs in a game, which was first set in 1993.

Tying the Big 12 Conference record for grand slams in a game as he became the fourth league player to achieve the feat.

OSU has 10 Big 12 weekly award winners this season:
