Oklahoma State Selected to Host 2024 NCAA Regional

May 26, 2024

STILLWATER – After battling their way to win a Big 12 tournament championship on Saturday evening, the Oklahoma State Cowboy baseball team was selected to host an NCAA Regional.

The NCAA selection show airs Monday, May 27 at 11 am, which will announce the other three teams in the Stillwater Regional.

This marks the third-straight Regional host for the Pokes in O’Brate, but they’ll be working for a better result as they failed to get out of the Stillwater Regional in the past two seasons. This is also the 49th NCAA Regional appearance for the Pokes and the 11th Regional in a row for the Pokes as they’ve made the NCAA tournament every year under Josh Holliday.

The Cowboys entered the Big 12 tournament as the No. 17 team in the country and needed a little magic in order to climb into the top 16 in order to host. They will, however, need the Regional site host they’re paired with in order to host a Super Regional should the Cowboys make it out of Stillwater.

The Cowboys finished the regular season with a 40-17 overall recorded, 19-9 in Big 12 play, which also included a 21-5 home record. They were just 12-10 on the road, so the home record will hopefully benefit the Pokes this upcoming week.
