STILLWATER – A week ago the numbers were sobering, heck they couldbe considered depressing as Arkansas had 648-yards of total offense, 283-yards of game controling rushing yards, and another 416-yards of explosive passing. yes, the Cowboys won the game with turnovers, key stops, and a dominating defense in overtime. Still, there weren’t many folks this week feeling really solid about the defense, except the defense.

I'm not sure anything is clear because of a good performance against Tulsa. I'm still disturbed about the defense giving up 650 yards against any team not playing in the NFL. This week vs Utah will tell us truly where they are. Fingers crossed that they have turned the corner but Tulsa was not a test, barely a quiz.

It is Mike Gundy who ultimately gets the credit or blame for performance of the team in all three phases: offense, defense and special teams because he bears the title Head Coach!!!
