Cowboys Back in Postseason All-Star Games, Who, When, and How to Watch
STILLWATER – The postseason college all-star games will commence this week, at least the major two of those games. Actually, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl has been eliminated, so the East-West Shrine Game and the Reese’s Senior Bowl are really the only two major collegiate all-Star games. The 100th edition of the East-West Shrine Game will be held in AT&T Stadium on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. (CT) and be televised on NFL Network. The Reese’s Senior Bowl will on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1:30 p.m. (CT) and televised on NFL Network.
While Oklahoma State football did not have a stellar season in 2024, the Cowboys do have a number of NFL Draft prospects and as a result they have five players involved in these games and that could increase with late replacements as the games near and players back out.
Below are the Oklahoma State players scheduled to participate and how you can best follow their progress.
East-West Shrine Game - AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas; Thursday, Jan. 30, 7 p.m. (NFL Network)
Practices: Saturday, January 25 - Tuesday, January 28, 8:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CT on Lights Out Sports, a free streaming app.
Dalton, Cooper, OT, Oklahoma State
Cooper started a majority of games at offensive tackle for the Cowboys over the past two seasons since transferring from Texas State University where he was an all-conference offensive lineman. Originally, from Prague, Okla., Cooper has excellent size and at the East-West Shrine Game measured 6 foot 5.4 inches and weighed 323 pounds. He also had a 9-5/8ths hand, 33.48 inches arm, and 79.78 inches wingspan.
Cooper is on the East team and will be coached by head coach Marquice Williams (from Atlanta Falcons); offensive coordinator Parks frazier (Miami Dolphins), offensive line coaches Eddie Gordon (Green Bay Packers) and Robert Kugler (New England Patriots)
Reese’s Senior Bowl - Hancock-Whitney Stadium, Mobile, Ala; Saturday, Feb. 1, 1:30 p.m. (NFL Network)
Practices: Tuesday, January 28 - Thursday, January 30, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT on NFL Network
Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State
Nick Martin, LB, Oklahoma State
Collin Oliver, LB/Edge, Oklahoma State
Trey Rucker, Saf., Oklahoma State
Rucker was a late adddition, and all of the players will report on Monday, be measured, and the selection process of placing players on either the American or National rosters will take place.
Gordon II should be fresh and ready to put his best foot forward in practices (as important, if not more important than the game) as well as the game. The Big 12 will be heavily represented in the running back position with Gordon, Cam Skattebo (Arizona State), R.J. Harvey (UCF), and Devin Neal (Kansas). Martin and Oliver would love to be on the same team and that would be fun. Rucker was a late addition, but his physical style will fit well in this game and in the NFL. If nothing else, Rucker should make a roster as a special teams player.
