STILLWATER – Oklahoma State improved to 24-4 on the season after defeating North Texas 5-0 on Wednesday night. Returning All-American Carrie Eberle got the start in the circle for the Cowgirls. It was the start of something very special and a first for Cowgirls softball. Eberle worked three perfect innings and struck out two before handing the ball over to redshirt sophomore Kelly Maxwell.

Maxwell pitched the final four innings and struck out seven to finish off the combined perfect game, the first in Oklahoma State softball history.

Eberle improved to 9-0 on the season and Maxwell recorded her second save in the win. The duo is a combined 18-1 on the year.

Offensively, the Cowgirls were led by Kiley Naomi and Avery Hobson who both recorded two hits in the game. Naomi also drove in two runs on the day.

Hayley Busby extended her hitting streak to seven games with a solo home run in the fifth inning.

The Cowgirls are set to begin conference play this weekend at Kansas. The series is set to begin at 6 p.m. CT on Friday, March 26.
