Oklahoma State coach Kenny Gajewski said it was as good a start in an NCAA Regional as he's had as Cowgirls head coach. Oklahoma State moved on to day two of the Stillwater Regional with a run-rule win.
It was not pretty, but it was a winning effort with a clutch, powerful seventh inning that was followed by a sloppy bottom half of the frame. It added up to 2-0 in pool play.
Oklahoma State marched into Baton Rouge and took on SEC power LSU and thanks to strong pitching from Kelly Maxwell and Carrie Eberle and timely hitting they swept the doubleheader and set a school consecutive win record.
