STILLWATER – Eleven innings of pins and needles at Cowgirl Stadium on opening night of the OSU-Tulsa Invitational and the season home opener ended on a 2-0 count when the Cowgirls third baseman Rosie Davis, sporting a black eye, pop a pop knot on the delivery from Huskers pitcher Alexis Jensen that landed over the batting eye in centerfield. The walk off home run ended a long night between two talented and ranked teams sporting two of the best pitchers in college softball. No. 16 Oklahoma State gets the 2-1 win over No. 4 Nebraska. The two teams are scheduled to meet two more times this weekend.

The game started with All-American pitchers Jordy Frahm of Nebraska and Ruby Meylan of the Cowgirls dominating each others hitters. Meylan pitched 10 innings and gave up one run in the fifth and eight hits. She walked just one Cornhusker and struck out nine.

Frahm, a former OU pitcher that is a Nebraska native, pitched seven innings and allowed just one run in the bottom of the seventh. Tia Warsop came around to score on an RBI single by Audrey Schneidmiller to tie the contest and send the game into extra innings.

RyLee Crandall came on and pitched the top of the 11th for the Cowgirls before Davis sent the crowd that remained from the home opener record of 1,802 home happy and with a story to tell around the water cooler or the coffee shop on Friday.
