STILLWATER – There are two seriously intense Big 12 diamond series going on in Stillwater this weekend as the Cowboys are hosting Kansas and the Cowgirls hosting No. 16 Arizona. Just like normal in Oklahoma in April, potential weather has adjusted the start times.
Cowboy baseball starts at 2 p.m. and Cowgirl softball’s at 3 p.m.
Both the Cowboys are and Cowgirls are coming off of Bedlam wins this past week. The Cowboys beat No. 11 OU 7-3 in Tulsa on Tuesday to move to 50-31 all time against the Sooners.
The Jayhawks are currently 27-10 overall on the season, 12-3 in Big 12 play and enter this game on an 11-game win streak.
As for the No. 21 Cowgirls, they were so impressive on Wednesday as they knocked off No. 1 OU in Oklahoma City. It marked just the fifth loss for the Sooners this season and the Cowgirls’ first win over a No. 1 team since they beat OU in the Big 12 championship games in 2022.
The Wildcats enter this series 30-11 overall on the season, 11-4 in Big 12 play and are coming off a series loss to No. 18 LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
