The season came to an end for Oklahoma State in the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional as the Pokes lost to Alabama 9-7 in 11 innings.

With the loss, the Pokes finish 39-22.

Strikeouts and home runs were the story for the Pokes in the elimination game as the Pokes combined for 17 strikeouts on offense and 12 from the Poke pitchers. They also combined for four home runs, one apiece from Brock Thompson, Kollin Ritchie, Avery Ortiz and Deacon Pomeroy.

But the Tide had three homers, including a solo shot from freshman Eric Hines in the top of the eighth to tie the game and a three-run shot from Brady Neal in the top of the 11th to seal the game.

Mario Pesca picked up the loss as he gave up the three-run shot to Neal, going just over one inning and giving up three earned runs on four hits with one strikeout.

Noah Wech got the start as he went five innings and giving up five runs, four of those earned, on eight hits with four strikeouts and two walks.

Ethan Lund came into the game in relief and had a great outing, going just over four innings with seven strikeouts and one earned run on one hit.

The Tied went up 4-0 through three innings before the Pokes answered with three runs in the bottom of the third, two from Pomeroy on a two-run shot and one from Ritchie on a wild pitch.

After another run from Alabama, the Cowboys posted three-straight across the sixth and seventh to take their first lead of the game and the first time the Tied trailed in this Regional.

Hines tied the game with a solo shot in the top of the eighth, before Neal put a three-run shot over the left field wall in the top of the 11th.

While Garrett Shull answered with a run in the bottom of the 11th to get the Pokes within two with the bases loaded, but Nemo Indomenico struck out on four pitches to end the game, his third of the game.
