TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma State picked up another Bedlam win Tuesday night as the 21st-ranked Cowboys topped Oklahoma, 7-3, at ONEOK Field.

With the win, OSU improved to 28-15-1 and has won three of its five games against OU this season. The Cowboys also improved to 26-9 against the Sooners in nine seasons under head coach Josh Holliday.

Making his first appearance on the mound since 2019, Noah Sifrit picked up the win out of the bullpen as the southpaw worked three shutout innings and struck out five.

Offensively, Christian Encarnacion-Strand was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI, while Cade Cabbiness drove in three runs and was 2-for-2 at the plate.

The Cowboys took an early lead in their first at bat without the benefit of a hit as four walks led to a run, with Cabbiness drawing a free pass with the bases full to put OSU up 1-0.

OU (24-23) tied the game in the second, getting an unearned run off OSU starter Trevor Martin as a throwing error on a bunt single brought home a run to knot the score at 1-1.

In the fourth, the Pokes rallied for four runs to regain the lead. With the bases full, Max Hewitt lifted a sacrifice fly to left field to make the score 2-1, and up next, Encarnacion-Strand ripped a double to left field to bring home OSU’s third run.

Following a bases loaded walk to Carson McCusker, Cabbiness ripped an RBI single through the left side to push the lead to 5-1.

OSU added a pair of runs to increase its lead to 7-1 in the sixth as Cabbiness and Justin Campbell collected RBI singles.

The Sooners plated the final two runs of the contest, scoring in the eighth and ninth innings.

The Pokes used six pitchers in the contest, including Hueston Morrill, the third-year sophomore who made his collegiate pitching debut in the eighth inning and struck out two while allowing a run and a pair of walks.

OSU returns to action Friday when the Cowboys open their final Big 12 Conference series of the season against Baylor at O’Brate Stadium. The opener is set for a 6 p.m. first pitch.
