Less than a week after the news broke, Oklahoma and Texas have officially submitted formal requests to become members of the SEC.

Oklahoma State President Kayse Shrum issued another strongly-worded statement about the University of Oklahoma, this time coming after the OU-Texas joint statement about leaving the Big 12.

In what is now becoming a series of statements it is becoming much harder to take the Big 12 seriously. The time for action was long ago and now saving the league may not be possible.

Oklahoma and Texas announced they will not be renewing their media rights with the Big 12 in 2025, according to a joint statement released by both universities.

With Thursday afternoon's virtual meeting called with the Big 12 CEOs and athletic directors the new Oklahoma State leadership team in athletics with President Dr. Kayse Shrum and athletic director Chad Weiberg they are thrust into a storm. Shrum is ready.
