and I will counter any wild allegations that you throw at our program.
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is hoping that the good vibes coming from the 20-14 win over Iowa State will spill off the field and right onto the recruiting rolls as it was a huge weekend with over 140 prospects in the Boone for the “black out” win over the Cyclones. Jones College. cornerback Lardarius Webb Jr., the son of former NFL defensive back Lardarius Webb, who won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens, was there on an official visit.

I'm not interested in each or their own, or in you. I only talk about the topics. Couldn't care one bit what you or any other poster does, so long as it is not including me personally in their comments.CowboyRed said:
To each there own.

At what point do Cowboy faithful(s) accept the fact that FB recruiting under current regime will never be where it should be.... undeniably, Gundy's overall #'s speak for themselves .... however, undeniably, Aranda wins B12 in 2nd year .... Dykes is in B12 Championship game 1st year ..... ummm?
You're never gonna get it.
The difference between #15 and #30 is minuscule, especially if and when only one or two higher rated recruits don't pan out which happens on every team. The real value of a coaching staff is more appropriately focused on whether they turn 3 stars into 4 stars (see Gundy) or 4 stars into 2 or 3 stars (see aTm or UT). Now with NIL, how many 4 and 5 stars are more focused on $$$ than committing to the team, learning and improving (see aTm and UT).
Gundy is clearly focused on guys that fit, that want to play, that are team guys than he's focused on some random recruiting guy or gal assigning number grades to HS athletes.
Sorry .... i completely get it and always have.... regardless how miniscule the differences are between #15-30 OR differences in rating methodologies.... rarely, if ever, do #'s NOT revel the truth... particularly over a period of time! The simple fact is..... OSU should be recruiting consistently at the 15-20 range and those #'s dont lie related to winning championship .... Indeed, you are correct regarding Gundy's focus/strategy to find guys that 'FIT' .... that is very important ... undisputed....but, that requirement is NOT incompatible with recruiting at a higher level than he does ....That point is what YOU do not get!
Regardless, which side of the argument you fall on .... those recruits that 'FIT'? They are NOT getting developed to deliver championships ...so something's broken period! What don't You get about that?
For the love of everything, does it matter WHO's recruits they were .... ? That is even MORE an indictment that FB recruiting is NOT delivering what is needed to win Championships! Starting with OL talent for over a decade. Do YOU think before you post?Joe Khatib said:Ummm, Aranda won with Rhule recruits and talent and Dykesvis winning with Patterson recruits and talent, just like Bob Stoops won a NC in his second year with mostly John Blake recruits and talent! If you look at just the #'s you might conclude NOT a big difference between BU-TCU-OSU recruiting results ...etc... then what is it? Are BU-TCU etc developing their recruits better or quicker?CaliforniaCowboy said:hmmm.... That is the real point to me! I dont presume to know the answer and Im sure the recruiting topic has been covered (internally) from every possible angle already. What is frustrating is that 'answers' are not being found. Just like zero answers for the OL debacle going on for over a decade. At this point, I can only conclude that the 'other' B12 programs are doing a better job 'evaluating & developing' their 3* recruits and getting them on field 'quicker' before they become disenchanted and transfer ....CowboyRed said:
I think he isn't good at it I'll say for sure. We offer and recruit a lot of high ranked kids but we miss 99 percent of the time. So intentionally no. I'm just going with what Gary was pointing out tho. What's the difference in these other programs having greater success? If it's injuries then I'd again point to not recruiting and developing better depth

no... "what it is"... is you're looking for something that only one team can get annually, which takes many factors including health, retention, talent, scheme, effort/motivation, teamwork/execution, and luck. A team must have all of those to capture the highest honor.gary121853 said:If you look at just the #'s you might conclude NOT a big difference between BU-TCU-OSU recruiting results ...etc... then what is it?
